Brazilian designer and researcher. I hold a degree in Design with a specialisation in Visual Communication and a focus on Marketing, and a Master's in Design from PUC-Rio.
My work happens between books and experimentation. I believe repertoire is built from observing people, places and behaviours, without letting go of academic and conceptual rigour. That's why my way of designing is based on research: bibliographic, visual, behavioural, and drawn from life.
Approach
Over five years of professional practice, I have had the opportunity to build a multidisciplinary career, working on projects across marketing, digital products, branding, editorial and education. This led me to develop a working method that brings together multiple approaches, drawing on design thinking and cognition, user-centred design and Partnership Design.
My defining trait is being 'exploration first': placing the client or user at the centre of the inquiry during the early phases of a project, then unfolding the work according to the needs that emerge. Drawing on Denise Jodelet's social representations approach, I apply methods to understand the user's sense of self, and their relationship to society and culture, within the design process.
